The 1970s.
A time when the kitchen was a stage for creativity, togetherness, and sometimes a touch of madness. Fondue sets took center stage on the table, cheese platters were served on silver tiered stands, and a piece of pineapple or a cherry on a skewer was considered the height of elegance.

Dinnerware was brightly colored, glasses often tinted orange or green, and cookbooks were filled with recipes that today almost look like works of art – sometimes because of their flavor, sometimes because of their pure retro charm.

And we do it in a way that embraces nostalgia while bringing in a fresh, modern energy.

Our Mission
We are gathering everything that defined the food culture of the 1970s:

  • Original recipes from old cookbooks and magazines.

  • Photos of dishes that were iconic at the time (including the sometimes hilarious food styling).

  • Cookbooks and menus from that period.

  • Tableware, glassware, and cutlery that were standard back then.

We start by going back to the basics. That means cooking the way it was meant to be cooked—no modern tweaks, no fancy techniques—just the original experience. After that, we give it our own modern twist. Sometimes subtle, sometimes radical, but always with respect for the original recipe.

At KooK Studioo, we don’t just want to remember that era… we want to relive it. And we do it in a way that embraces nostalgia while adding fresh energy.

The Approach
Testing phase: We prepare each recipe exactly as it was done in the 1970s.

Analysis: What still works? What feels outdated in terms of flavor or technique?

Creative twist: We create a renewed version, keeping the original charm while updating the dish for today’s tastes.

Documentation: Photos, notes, stories – everything is carefully recorded.

Our goal? Ultimately, we want to share this culinary time travel with national and international platforms, so this revival lives not only in our kitchen but all over the world.
