I spent over thirty years in professional kitchens, mastering techniques, perfecting flavors, and learning the craft from the inside out. But after decades of following the rhythm of others’ rules, I realized it was time to go my own way — to step out of the line and create on my own terms.

What I do now is rooted in that experience: cooking, storytelling, and crafting recipes that are more than instructions—they are narratives, memories, and emotions. I love art. I love history. I love the raw, unfinished edge. The unexpected. The things that go against the current. And I love music — the way it moves through a kitchen, through a page, through a story — shaping the tempo, mood, and heartbeat of everything I create. Writing and cooking with music is how ideas take flight, how flavors dance, how stories breathe.

That philosophy is the foundation of KooK Studioo. Not a conventional culinary studio where everything is neat and polished. Here, we break recipes, trends, and stories down to their essence. We explore old cookbooks, revive forgotten dishes, and craft them into experiences that feel alive today. We document, we write, we tell stories. Because food is more than sustenance—it’s culture, emotion, and a reflection of its time.

Within this vision lives Nomoro.Label, our imprint. A space for essays, reflections, and fragments of process. Nomoro.Label captures the words behind the work, exploring how taste becomes feeling, and giving depth to every culinary story.

In spring 2026, we will unveil KOOK, our magazine in bloom. A publication built on ingredients, imagery, and narrative rhythm. KOOK extends the vision outward—a platform where food, design, and publishing converge, redefining how recipes and culinary storytelling live on the page.

Everything we create—recipes, storytelling, e-books, editorial work—carries the same energy: a little rebellious, a little nostalgic, and completely our own. No compromises. No formulas.

This isn’t a kitchen designed to please everyone. This is a kitchen with a soul. A home for those who understand that food is more than what’s on the plate.

Why KooK?

In Dutch, kook simply means to cook. Straightforward. But in English, kook is something else entirely — a person who’s a little eccentric, unpredictable, sometimes even seen as odd.

KooK Studioo embraces both. Cooking is never just neat recipes and perfect plating. It’s a space where creativity collides with tradition, where mistakes turn into discoveries, and where a touch of “kookiness” keeps things alive.

So yes, we cook. But we also write, tell stories, and publish with that same fearless, unconventional energy. Because being a bit of a kook is exactly what makes food — and storytelling — worth remembering.

“A recipe isn’t neat — it’s chaos on paper that only comes alive when you burn, stir, taste, and mess it up.”
